Course Information

AMU courses are for everyone. It does not matter what your background is. These courses help you get better at your job or find a new one.

Who can join?

We have room for everyone. You can join if you are:

• Working.
• In school.
• Staying at home.
• Unemployed.
• Retired.

To join, you must live or work in Denmark.

What does it cost?

The only difference for you is the price. The price depends on:

1. Your education level.
2. If you can get financial help (grants).

AMU is mostly for skilled and unskilled workers, but anyone can sign up.

When you find the course you want on our website, click "Tilmeld" (Sign up). You will be sent to the website voksenuddannelse.dk.

• Log in using your MitID.
• If your company is paying for the course, you will need their CVR number.

Financial Support (VEU and Travel)
You must apply for VEU (salary support) and travel money at the same time you sign up on voksenuddannelse.dk. This is the last step of the sign-up process.

Did you forget to apply?
1. Log in to voksenuddannelse.dk again.
2. Click "Mit overblik" (My overview) in the top right corner.
3. Select your course and apply there.

You can get up to 600 DKK per night to cover food and a place to sleep if:

• The round trip between your home and the school is more than 120 kilometers.
• OR if it is necessary for you to stay near the school for time reasons.

How to book and get a refund
You must book and pay for the stay yourself. To get your money back, you must send an application and a copy of your receipt to U/NORD. The receipt must show your name, CPR number, and the dates of your stay.


Follow these steps to apply:

1. Go to www.sdbf.dk/unord.
2. Log in with MitID. Enter your CPR number and email.
3. Click "Opstart ny" (Start new).
4. Find the form called: "Ansøgning om refusion i forbindelse med kost og logi (AMU)".
5. Fill out the boxes and attach your receipts (a bank statement is not enough).
6. Click "Send" and choose Lone Lyngbo – LLY.

It usually takes up to 14 days before the money is paid to your NemKonto.

Travel support is calculated based on the distance between your home and the school.

• You only get money for the trip to the school when the course starts and the trip home when it ends (and for weekends/holidays).
• You do not get money for driving between your hotel and the school each day.

You CANNOT get money for staying overnight if:

• You have a high-level degree (Master/Bachelor) that you have used within the last 5 years.
• You are in a special job program with support from the municipality.
• You do not have the right to travel support.

Important: You must send your application and receipts no later than 4 weeks after the course ends. If you wait longer, you will lose the right to the money.
